Camp Kachina

Archery, canoeing, hiking to the lake, getting rained out, skits, and microwave s'mores! I think our girl scout camp-out was a success! Of course no camp out is truly complete without some kind of obstacle to overcome. Jessica's canoe came after ours for splash revenge and ended up overturning their canoe in the lake. We didn't have swimming on the agenda, but they took a dive anyway! Anika rescued Alexis and Jessica rescued the boat and I helped them turn everything right side up again while keeping two Brownies calm and out of the water. Jessica griped and complained about it, but I told her now she has an adventure and story to share about camping out. Nothing so exciting ever happened at Camp Champions! A good time was had by all. Best compliment ever was on my Saturday evening meal - almost everyone wanted seconds! We finished off 1.5 crockpots full of my chicken tortilla soup between the 13 of us. Kennedy came in after polishing off her first bowl and begged for more of the most delicious soup EVER! Yeah.
