This morning for breakfast, Lily quickly volunteered to say the blessing. It went something like this:
L: (Clasp hands and close one eye) Thank thee. . .
M: Heavenly Father. . .
L: Heavenly Father, thank thee. . .
M: For the food. . .
L: For the food. (Pause to eat a bite of cheerios) Bless it (reclasping hands and spitting milk). . .
M: To nourish . . .
L: To noursh (chew and smack lips). . .
M: And strengthen us. . .
L: strengthn (swallow). . .
M: In the name of Jesus. . .
L: Amen. (Open eye and take another bite)
