Cousins Forever
My sister Mandy has always been a pretty girl. Even in the Middle School days the ugly stage skipped right over her. She has never saught recognition for her pretty face and hair, but it seems to come at her anyway. So it doesn't surprise ME that someone would ask her to participate in the
Ms. American Beauty Pageant. She has taken on the issue of the physical and/or mentally disabled as her platform. In particular she is in this to try and gain support for the Margo Sears Memorial Scholarship fund dedicated in honor of our late aunt who was the main caretaker for the last sixteen years of her life to our cousin, Mindy, who suffers from a disease that is a form of cerebral palsy. The scholarship is for students who are interested in studying to become Special Education teachers. Margo was always so grateful for those teachers who spent time helping her daughter in the Life Skills classes. This is her family's way of honoring her memory. Cool pictures! I wonder if Jeff has that one of he and Margo and Mindy. I've never seen it before. It's hard to remember Mindy being so tiny---and Mandy too!
Well, Stefanie, considering I doctored it from Margo's family photo from the reunion (2006), I doubt he has THIS version. =) I can always forward it to him if I had an email address??
