And then for the grand finale of the summer

DISNEY WORLD or BUST!

We've only been waiting 12 years to take this trip with the kids when they would be old enough to enjoy it. This summer was it! Jhonny had a Lifevantage conference in Orlando that fell on our vacation prime week. We decided to take advantage of it and go to the "Happiest Place on Earth". After hearing the many rumors of it not being the happiest place on earth, I tried to take precautions to make it enjoyable for everyone. I expected heat, long lines and short tempers. We didn't try to do it all. . . We took a day off to rest and I think everything turned out better than my expectations.

The kids had a memorable experience. We made it to Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom and Typhoon Lagoon. We also stopped along the way at the Naval Museum of Flight in Pensacola, made it to the beach in Mobile, Mississippi, and stopped in Louisiana to check out a few alligators.

It's a real live gator!

Ammon was fist pumping our new friends in line with us! What a social butterfly!

Ammon made it onto the Ferry with Jhonny while the rest of us went on a roller coaster too big for him.

It's a small world after all. . .

The rest of the 4th of July weekend. . .

On Monday June 30, we packed up the family and invited a friend for Jessica and headed for 6 flags in San Antonio. It was a great day! Short lines! We got to ride on everything we wanted.

Water park at Six Flags!

 Gavin's first real roller coaster.

We headed to Houston on Friday, July 4th to be ready for the temple Saturday morning! Fireworks were abound. Jhonny captured a few on the camera!

After the temple in the morning, we loaded up and headed to Galveston to meet up with the Zaugg family. Here is Dylan, his cousin and Gavin getting ready for a sand castle building contest.

Gavin and Dawson not in the picture? Not sure where they headed off to.
The next day, we joined the Zauggs at church to witness Jeffrey's ordination. What a special weekend for these two kiddos! I can still remember when they were both babies! 12 years has flown by. Still friends after all these years! It was a great weekend!
